Unity in Diversity by Radha Madhava Dasa

Eight years ago, His Holiness Bhakti Svarupa Damodara Maharaja (aka Dr. T. D. Singh) asked me to present the teachings of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu in a scientific way. I started to compile a book, and by the grace of Guru-Vaishnav-Bhagavan it is now completed.

It is my great pleasure to present to you the new ebook Unity in Diversity, which was published on the holy appearance day of Srimati Radharani on www.diversityinunison.com. The ebook is attached in this email. You can also download it from www.diversityinunison.com (free download).

The book Unity in Diversity presents the principle of simultaneous oneness and difference in a scientific and easily understandable way. It can be appreciated by devotees, academics and common readers alike. It shows how simultaneous oneness and difference is a universal principle that can convey and reconcile the essential assets of all philosophies, sciences and religions, and how it is also the underlying principle of harmony in all fields of life. It is full of wonderful quotes of Srila Prabhupada and other Vaishnava Acaryas.

It includes an introduction to Vedic science, evidence that the self is purely spiritual, ways of spiritual perception, establishment of Vedic evidence by Sri Jiva Goswami, an introduction to theism and full-fledged theism (Radha-Krishna-prema), insights into spiritual symbolism, a summary of Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s life and teachings, the practical application of Acintya-bhedabheda-darshan, and two special chapters devoted to Sankirtana and Sri Guru.

The book answers fundamental questions like: - How can spiritual phenomena be perceived? - How exactly is Godhead non-different from His various names, forms and energies, and from the spiritual master – and how is He different from them? - How can differing philosophies or religions be harmonized? - What is the best form of universal harmony or union with the Absolute? - What is the best practice for this union?

The book is focussed on the practical application of simultaneous oneness and difference, which is to develop the proper mood in which love of God can fully unfold in our hearts. In this regard, Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur wrote:

“The philosophy of acintya-bhedabheda, inconceivable simultaneous oneness and difference, is the true essence of Vedic truth. Its practice elevates one
to the perfection of divine love for the Absolute Truth, Sri Krishna.” – Jaiva Dharma, Chapter 18.
