This Year, ISKCON Seshadripuram had celebrated it’s 15th Annual Ratha Yatra Festival on the 20th of June. As The Rural Naama Hatta programs have been expanding, over 500 devotees from Rural Karnataka had visited and a Few International Devotees From Australia, Malaysia and Bangladesh had also Joined in to Pull Jagannath back into their Hearts. We were fortunate to conduct this festival with HG Revati Raman Prabhu (ISKCON GBC, ISKCON Tirupati Temple President) and HG Radhesyam Prabhu (ISKCON Pune).

The Festivities Began in the Morning class with HG Radhesyam Prabhu Reading The Caitanya Caritamrita Which was later followed by Netrotsav Darshan of Lord Jagannath, when the Lord Finally Gave Darshan after 2 weeks. Lord Jagannath was soon taken out of the temple with his Ceremonial Turban made of Flowers and Bamboo.

The Ratha Yatra had started from the New Palace Temple property at around 4:30 in the afternoon to Sampige Theatre, Mantri Mall and all the way up to GRT and Lalithaa Jewellers in Malleshwaram 8th Cross, Lord Jagannath was then taken to Vyalikaval Circle, Serpentine Road and then to Sri Rama Convention Hall, Where the deities were offered with a 56 variety Bhog.

As soon as the Lordships had completed the four hour long parade and reached the Hall, A Cultural Program had begun with a Drama Enacted by The ISKCON Vaishnavi Forum. The Program was then Followed by an Odissi Dance Performance by ODC Dance Academy, Bangalore and had concluded with A Madhurastakam Dance and Jagannath Sahasranam Stotra.

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura Says: “gṛhe thāko, vane thāko, sadā ‘hari‘ bole’ ḍāko, sukhe duḥkhe bhulo nā’ko, vadane hari-nāmkoro re” Whether you are a householder or a sannyasi, constantly chant “Hari! Hari!” Do not forget this chanting whether you are in a happy condition or a distressful one. Just fill yourself with hari-nām.

The devotees of our Temples have only one goal, To Flood Bangalore in Krsna Bhakti. Devotees often yearn to make more moments like this every day and this will be possible only by the financial and voluntary support of Devotees worldwide.
