When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

In October 2010 at Singapore, I heard about Bhagavad Gita classes at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Soon, I started attending discourses at our Gauranga Centre, Gita Reading Society where I first attended a congregation of devotees and continued to attend weekly Bhagavad Gita and Bhagavatam programmes. I have been attached with Hare Krishna movement ever since, for the past 2 years.

Few devotees whom I know in Chennai: Balagaurakrishna prabhu Sridhar Shyam prabhu Sundaram prabhu Sumithra Krishna Prabhu Sri giridhari prabhu At Gauranga Centre, Singapore, I know many devotees as we are like part of a big family. Devakinandan Prabhu, Pushpagopala prabhu Sakshi Gopal Prabhu Prema Manjari mataji. Nam Sankirtan prabhu Sriram Gopal Prabhu and many more devotees in singapore.

My name is Prathap, and I am from Chennai. Spiritually inclined in general and being a sincere seeker, by the will of providence I came into contact with a devotee of Krishna during my graduate studies in the US. She was an exchange student from Kenya in the same university as mine. Just a few minutes of Krishna Katha spent chatting together, and a few pages of reading from Srila Prabhupada's KRSNA book (which she gave me) brought about a tremendous change in my lives. That was back in Sept 2009. Later in Oct 2010, I first met devotees and attended a congregation in Singapore. Currently I reside in Chennai, India.
