  • Bg 3.26So as not to disrupt the minds of ignorant men attached to the fruitive results of prescribed duties, a learned person should not induce them to stop work. Rather, by working in the spirit of devotion, he should engage them in all sorts of activities [for the gradual development of Kṛṣṇa consciousness].

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Demigods are devotees of God, they are favourable to Krsna, thats why they are devatas. If we have family members who are into demigod worship and will not give up despite our reasoning, let it be. Worshipping demigod is better than not worshipping anyone at all. Therefore, let them worship. As long as you remember their subservient position to Krsna, its ok to have demigods on one's altar under the circumstances. Keep Radha Krsna in the centre and let all demigods be around, preferably in a slightly lower position on the altar (you can easily achieve this by placing Radha Krsna on a singhasan or throne in the centre ofthe altar).

Particular demigod like Hanuman - point out he is the param bhakta of Rama, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Ganesha - he wrote the scriptures when Ved Vyas dictated. The condition was that he had to understand and write and Ved Vyas had to speak with the same speed with which Ganesh was writing. Durga - she is the incharge of the Durg (jail) of this material world.

I hope I have been able to explain.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD
