"Work is worship. Manava-seva is Madhava-seva. God is everywhere and so I don't have to visit temples".
Above are some of the common thoughts that are destructive . Despite being blessed with the birth as Human, such people fail to utilize this birth . We all are under the influence of the ego-boosting *Maya* ( illusion) . Only divine grace help us to overcome *Maya*.
Vedic scriptures tell us that God resides everywhere . Although, wind is everywhere in varying quantities, it can be readily experienced under an electric Fan . In fact, Fan is an air-giving instrument for our use . Similarly, Rishis have blessed us with Vedic temples. Vedic mantras readily invoke Bhagavan on the Deities. Utter foolish are those who reject such temple-rituals as "Idol-worship" .
Bhagavan Sri Krishna Himself has revealed in Srimad Bhagavad Gita that , Bhaktas should worship His personal form and not the formless which is troublesome.
Bhagavan Sri Krishna says in Srimad Bhagavad Gita (12.2-7):
"Those steadfast devotees who worship with supreme faith by fixing their mind on Me as `Personal God' , I consider them to be the best Yogis. But, those who are worshipping the formless Brahman, (Impersonal Brahman) , experience great difficulty because it is very troublesome for the embodied being to attain steadiness in the Formless. To the Bhaktas who worship Me as the `Personal God' , surrendering all actions to Me, setting Me as their supreme goal, and meditating on Me with single minded devotion; I give swift deliverance from this ocean of birth and death."
