Please accept my humble obeisances, All glories to Shrila Prabhupada.

Every person is engaged in several activities throughout the day and mobile has become an unavoidable part of his life. In such a situation, how glorious it could get, if our mobile devices would deliver us the messages of the Supreme Personality of Godhead – Lord Sri Krishna!

In an attempt to turn this thought into reality, we designed and developed an Android and an iPhone/iPad application called as “Krishna Drive” which is available for download from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. (Visit: Krishna Drive)

The sole objective of this app is to spread the greatest words from the Lord and from his devotees to several people worldwide.

App sends holy messages daily, related to Vedic wisdom inclusive of great scriptures like Bhagvad Gita, Srimad Bhagvatam and also messages from the devotees of the Lord. Helps you to read the extract from the holy scriptures while you are on the go and thus always stay connected to the glorious rhythm of the Lord. Reminds you about your eternal self amidst the material perplexities and encourages you to read the divine scriptures and find out the truth of human life. The message is sent out twice a day, and on receiving the message, the phone beeps to grab your attention. On tapping the notification, the app opens up and downloads the newest message.

Authorities at Nasik ISKCON Temple (in India) helped us to launch “Krishna Drive” on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami last year on 28-Aug-2013 in the temple. Later in the evening, we were provided a booth, where we could address several people who visited the temple to install the app on their devices and demonstrate it to them. Based on the feedback of the Nasik devotees, we implemented the sharing feature (so that the messages received in the App can also be shared with others) and released a formal version 1.0 on 14-Jan-2014 (Makar Sankrant) on the Google Play Store so that it could be launched World Wide. This year on the occasion of Janmashtami in Aug-2014, we released the newest version that allows receiving Image based Messages apart from Text based Messages.

How did this idea occur to us?

In Srimad Bhagvatam Canto 1, in the purport provided by Srila Prabhupad, he has stated that it is the responsibility of every Indian to broadcast the messages of the Lord. After reading this, and in an attempt to put our services into services for the Lord, the idea of developing an Android application took its birth. The concept of this application was presented to Prabhuji Shikshashtakam in the Nasik ISKCON temple. Having heard to this, he accepted and allowed us to develop such an application.The holy messages broadcasted by the app are sent out by Prabhuji Krishna Dhan Das from the ISKCON Nasik Temple.
