ISKCON’s Governing Body Commission confirmed the Sannyasa applications for two senior disciples of HH Bhakti Charu Swam Maharaj: HG Ganganarayan Prabhu and HG Lilasuka Prabhu. This is the culmination of so many years of patiently waiting and their dedicated service to Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON and their Spiritual Master. The news was met with great jubilation here at Sridham Mayapur. Please shower them with your best wishes and prayers.
Maharaj has fixed the dates when he wishes to conduct the special Sannyasa ceremonies as follows:
• HG Ganganarayan Prabhu will be taking Sannyasa on 5th March 2015 (Gaura Purnima) at ISKCON Ujjain, India.
Ganga Narayan Das, born on 31st December 1967, came in contact with ISKCON in 1994 and joined as a full‐time devotee in 1995 in Mayapur. He received initiation in the family of Jagat Guru Srila Prabhupada from His Holiness Bhakti Caru Swami Maharaj. He came in Krishna Consciousness in 1994. Since 1994 , when he was 27, he is serving in the mission of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. He sings Vaisnav Bhajans melodiously and beautifully explains their purports. He focuses on establishing loving relationship with devotees and everyone else.
• HG Lilasuka Prabhu will be taking Sannyasa on 29th May 2015 (Nirjala Ekadasi) at Radhadesh, Belgium.
Lilasuka Prabhu, born in Belgium, in 1960, met devotees in Ghent in the summer of 1992. From 1992 to 1996 he was active in Nama Hatta preaching in Ghent, and joined the Radhadesh temple in 1996. In 1994 he met His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami who accepted him as his disciple and gave him first initiation on 12 March 1998 and second initiation on 25 August 1999. Right after his first initiation he became the first secretary for the newly formed European RGB. He organized the first European Leaders Meetings (ELM) and went on several missions for the European RGB. In 2004 Lilasuka Dasa was requested to become to Secretary for the Global GBC Body and the Secretary for the GBC Executive Committee. He fulfilled that role until September 2009.
