Hare Krishna Devotees
I am writing this blog to let devotee community know about Krishna Conscious activities going in Ujjain and Indore cities.
Indore is a Tier-2 City of India also know as business capital of M.P. State. While Ujjain is a ancient holy tier - 3 city. Ujjain is famous among devotees since here Lord Krishna took stayed in Gurukul of Sandipani Muni.
Both cities are near to each other and have beautiful ISKCON temples.
People in general are very pious in state and atmospheric for spreading Krishna Consciousness is good. Recently State passed a law of rigorous imprisonment to any person involved in anyway in Cow killing.
With inspiration of senior devotees, youth preachers are going to organize a event 'Gita Champions League" (GCL)
The main objective of event is to inspire the people to read Bhagvad Gita As it is.
All the participants of the event will get one Bhagvad Gita As it is on registration. In this way good book distribution is taking place among Youth of both cities.
Gita Champions League Team of Indore and Ujjain is working hard to promote Krishna Consciousness in the cities.
Currently more then 800 students have registered for the event. Many engineering college students including IIT, GSITS, DAVV and others have registered for the event.
Some schools authorities are very favorable, they invited devotees to come and give presentation to students. Students also asked lots of questions. (Many schools in Ujjain get daily Prasadam through - Mid day Meal of Food for Life)
A National Hindi Newspaper "Dainik Bhaskar" is media partner for this event. They are advertising as well as covering event news beautifully. With news getting covered more people are visiting temple to register for the event.
Currently news is getting covered only in local editions of the paper. Newspaper PR department said if this time the event concludes stressful then they will cover the event in all over Indian editions.
All the participants will get daily sms on translation of different Shlokas of Gita.
