Will non devotees get sin of Vaishnava apradha?

I am not sure how Vaishnava apradha works. If some Vaishnav devotee is disturbed by some people and they offend the Vaishnava. will these people get the sin of offending Vaishnava? How will Krishna react? Will he protect his devotee or let this type of things happen?

  • Its not aparadha what coming from people disturbances, but what celestial judgment headed by Yamaraja deside it is. Sri Krishna is the witness inside every living being, and He, in the form of Yama and other chief celestials, rule the material world and deliver the results of ones behavior. Such ruling is based on Dharma, as well as  based on the time, place, and circumstances.

In Kali Yuga people are mostly workers, and they serving their leaders who are mainly vaishyas, skilled in building the money. Some of them are involved in spiritual proces, but they cant escape their nature as long as their minds belong to this world.

Sin & Aparadha are different. Sin is on material platform. Aparadha is on spiritual platform. Aparadha gives more severe reactions than sin.

When a materialistic person harms another materialistic person then it is sin.

When a devotee harms another devotee it is aparadha.

When a materialistic person harms a devotee, then it depends on the mentality.

Like if the materistic person is envious of vaishnava and then harms the vaishnava like in case of HirnayaKashipu then the reaction is severe.

But if a materialistic person is not aware that he is a vaishnava, but harms him intentionally due to material conditioning then it is sinful but because it was not out of envy towards vaishnava, reaction is less severe than doing the same thing out of envy for vaishnava. Eg : Srivasa Pandit was taken out of SB class of Devananda pandit by his followers, but they didnt know that Srivasa Pandit was a great devotee, but still Devananda Pandit got reactions not very severe thoough.

    Hare krsna everyone,

    All glories to Srila Prabhupad!!!

As Radha Rasamayi DD has already commented, the vaishnava apradh will act both on devotee and non-devotee. However, the major effect/repercussions are seen in a devotee's sadhana and spiritual progress as his/her sadhana will be destroyed due to committing a sin against a vaishnav.

Please safe guard yourself as much as possible from this. The main and the most important factor is fault finding. Please research videos on youtube/IDT by senior devotees on how to overcome fault finding. Give yourself enough time to gradually overcome offences against vaishnavas.

All glories to guru and gauranga!!!

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Vaishnav aparadh is offence to a vaishnava. It will work regardless of whether the person committing the offence is a devotee or a non devotee. Like fire will burn a small child as well as grown man, if both near it.
