  • - God is ultimate cause of everything. sarva karana karanam.

SB 2.5.18 — The Supreme Lord is pure, spiritual form, transcendental to all material qualities, yet for the sake of the creation of the material world and its maintenance and annihilation, He accepts through His external energy the material modes of nature called goodness, passion and ignorance.
SB 2.5.19  These three modes of material nature, being further manifested as matter, knowledge and activities, put the eternally transcendental living entity under conditions of cause and effect and make him responsible for such activities.
    .
-So we know now who is the cause of being under material low of cause and effect (karma).
Lets see how pure living entities or jivas, become attached in illusion :
SB 6.18.30 — In the beginning of creation, Lord Brahmā, the father of the living entities of the universe, saw that all the living entities were unattached. To increase population, he then created woman from the better half of man’s body, for woman’s behavior carries away a man’s mind.
    .
It would be impossible for Sri Bramaji to create and populate universe on the instruction of God, if he didnt done that.
This is how it was started, and its now on us to stay or to get out of that illusion by power of bhakti yoga.
Lets see more closely how that attachement make jivas conditioned :
    .
SB 5.5.8 — The attraction between male and female is the basic principle of material existence. On the basis of this misconception, which ties together the hearts of the male and female, one becomes attracted to his body, home, property, children, relatives and wealth. In this way one increases life’s illusions and thinks in terms of “I and mine.”

SB 5.5.9 — When the strong knot in the heart of a person implicated in material life due to the results of past action is slackened, one turns away from his attachment to home, wife and children. In this way, one gives up the basic principle of illusion [I and mine] and becomes liberated. Thus one goes to the transcendental world.

    Hare Krsna

"its not true that nobody ever come back from transcendental abode, --> False (As per Krsna)

Fortunately for us Krsna has removed such misconceptions when he says

    yad gatvaa na nivartante
    tad dhaama paramam mama

Those who reach it(spiritual world) never return to this material world.

There can be no more greater assurance than the word of GOD Himself.

Those who try to delude others by misinterpreting GOD's words are unlucky.

anyway, srimad bhagavatam is far superior toward mahabharata clearing that by starting srila vyasadeva lamentation: --> False

Bhagavd Gita As It Is given by Srila Prabhupad is completely in line with Srimad Bhagavatam.

Bhagavd Gita is best part of Mahabharat and it is not against Srimad Bhagavatam.

Bhagavad Gita literally means Song of GOD. Srimad Bhagavatam gives higher understanding of devotional service (about which Krsna mentions in BG). But it is in-line and in-harmony with Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, Caitanya Caritamrita are all in-harmony with each other. Anyone who reads Srila Prabhupad books can understand this simple truth.

For those who want to create disharmony, it is tough for them to appreciate it

    Hare Krsna

Krsna the Supreme absolute TRUTH is saying in Srimad Bhagavad Gita the most sacred of all scriptures that

    yad gatvaa na nivartante
    tad dhaama paramam mama

Those who reach it(spiritual world) never return to this material world.

There can be no more greater assurance than the word of GOD Himself.

  • Very Good question Prabhu. I too have the same question. Mataji Please answer.... And clear our doubts?

      Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

      PAMHO.

Lord Krsna has said in Gita - yad gatva na nivartante, tad dham paramam mam - going where, one doesnt have to return, that is My abode. This is very true.

THen the question arises - from where did we all come to the material world - because the same Lord Krsna says in the same Gita that we are His part and parcel, eternal souls.

Both the statements are correct. What we need to understand is that in the spiritual world - there are different kinds of liberation - sarupya (similar form of lord), salokya (staying in the same abode as lord), samipya (staying near the lord), sarsthi etc. None of these are pure devotion - a pure devotee does not desire any of the above mentioned types of liberation.

A pure devotee wants only to serve the lord - without any desires of his own. A pure devotee can also come back to the earth - with the desire of liberating or taking back fallen souls like me to the spiritual world. Such a devotee comes to the world to distribute Krsna prema and to tell conditioned souls about the existence of the spiritual world. Such a devotee does his work and goes back to the spiritual world at will. Please note that desire to liberate conditioned souls is also a desire and the way the lord fulfills it.

Now coming to the other forms of liberation - they are all pious souls no doubt, but even in the spiritual world, there are desires. If the desire becomes contaminated and the soul starts thinking - how lucky na - the lord is forever enjoying and I am having to serve Him, it would be so nice if I could also enjoy - lo and behold - that desire is also fulfilled!!!! Direct ticket back to the material world. Like this, if anyone desires to come back for whatever reason, that desire is also fulfilled.

This material world is a jail - we may be thinking there are so many material planets and in this earth itself, so many life forms, how can so many of us be in jail at the same time. Pls note that scriptures say that the spiritual world is 3 times the material world. Like in any city, the number of people in jail is always substantially less than the total population out the jail, the same is with the spiritual world - the number of souls out of this jail is a lot more. Why does a soul want to come back when he is satisfied in the material world - the person committing a crime in a well to do city prabhu....

Once a soul comes to the jail, then can he say I have seen the jail life, it is very hard, now I have realised my mistake, so please send me back to the normal world, now I would want to go back. No na - the jailor will tell him that you have to complete your jail term and then only you can go. While doing that jail term, if you commit more crimes and become entangled in lust, anger, greed, would your term in jail not be extended? That is what happens when a soul comes to the material world. The laws of material world start working then - he is bound by the 3 modes of material nature, and commits one karma after the other becoming more and more entangled. The most important point is that the soul forgets about the spiritual world when he comes to the material world.

I hope I have been able to explain to the two of you. Sorry, the answer became too long, I was trying to explain in detail.

    Hare Krsna Prabhui,

    PAMHO.

When a soul wants to enjoy like th Supreme Lord, when a soul becomes envious of the lord's opulences and desires similar opulence for himself or when the soul wants to experience what it is like to be inimical to the lord, then the soul is sent to the material world to fulfill that desire. Once in the material world, the soul forgets all about the spiritual world and gets about trying to create the ideal life - good house, bank balance, family, status in society, good job etc.

Now coming to why would a soul become conditioned? The soul becomes conditioned in the material world - not in the spiritual world. The moment the soul enters the material realm, it is bound by maya. There is no maya in the spiritual world. Like how a good citizen of any country, which is rich and providing all amenities to its citizens, still can turn to crime. That same way, having gone to the spiritual world, if the soul desires to enjoy apart from the Supreme Lord, that desire is actually fulfilled.

One example is that of Jay and Vijay - they discussed among themselves that there is no one as powerful as the lord, to fight with the lord, so the lord is deprived of the pleasure of fighting with an (almost) equal and lo and behold, they were given that responsibility and had to become demons in 3 births and fight the lord in each birth.

I hope I have been able to explain.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Rashmi
