    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

You could donate to this website also. As you may be aware, running this website has a huge cost - Rs. 8 lakhs per month. It would help if you or anyone else could help run the website by donating - one time or regularly, as per your convenience and as much as is comfortable for you.

    Hare Krsna

Which one is best way to donate ?
This is answered by Lord Krsna in BG.

Charity given out of duty, without expectation of return, at the proper time and place, and to a worthy person is considered to be in the mode of goodness. BG 17.20

Purport : In the Vedic literature, charity given to a person engaged in spiritual activities is recommended. There is no recommendation for giving charity indiscriminately. Spiritual perfection is always a consideration. Therefore charity is recommended to be given at a place of pilgrimage and at lunar or solar eclipses or at the end of the month or to a qualified brahmana or a Vaishnava (devotee) or in temples. Such charities should be given without any consideration of return. Charity to the poor is sometimes given out of compassion, but if a poor man is not worth giving charity to, then there is no spiritual advancement. In other words, indiscriminate charity is not recommended in the Vedic literature.

But charity performed with the expectation of some return, or with a desire for fruitive results, or in a grudging mood, is said to be charity in the mode of passion. BG 17.21

And charity performed at an impure place, at an improper time, to unworthy persons, or without proper attention and respect is said to be in the mode of ignorance. BG 17.22

Considering the above references options 3,4,5 & 6 and many more can be ruled out because they can fal in category of  charity without discrimination. Because the purpose of the charity to these or the beneficiary of charity is not predetermined in these cases. For example - If I make charity for poor children's education and if such children become criminals, I will get bad karma.

So that leaves us only 2 options. Best would be to make charity for go-seva within Iskcon temple. Most iskcon temples nowadays have go-seva.

But if one still wants to do chairty for other purposes, Iskcon facilitates it. Like some Iskcon organises medical camps in dham, they do food for life, they do youth/children spiritual education etc. You can also make charity for construction of new temples, prasadam sponsoring for those in renounced order etc.

Personally I would say Keep some portion fixed donation for fixed purpoose and others for various as per your desire, mood etc, just like we do some frivolous shopping, we can keep some portion for frivolous donation.

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Very good thought. All the money we earn is not for ourselves. One who is earning must donate.

Donation can be of 3 types as per Gita - in sattva guna, in rajo guna and in tamo guna.

One should donate for spiritual pursuits and to maintain cow - that helps us in spiritual advancement. So it depends, whichever temple of ISKCON you are associated with, give some there. You could space it out - give during festival time, give to TOVP construction in Mayapur, give for cow seva.

Regarding the other things mentioned by you, it is a very good feel good, but it will not help you grow spiritually. You will develop pride and become attached. If you want to give to orphanage or old age home, then give them your time. Make/ Buy food for them, offer to Krsna and give them prasadam. This way, you are doing charity as well as you are giving them and yourself spiritual growth, which is pleasing to both guru and gauranga.

One has to be careful while giving charity - charity given to wrong person can result in bondage and karma for us.

Sorry, am in a hurry, therefore the short response.
