Srila Prabhupad putted tilak and then sandawood on the rest of His forehead? See picture.Is sattvik decoration? Medicinal for meditation and relaxation? Thank you for answer.

yogis doing it only for opening third eye.
when you are having constantly tilak or mud on forehead ,
it makes you unintentional meditation or concentration on that area, making that chakra to start working.
beside that spiritual aspect, there is also medicine aspect of that .
It cools.
Especially in India it is hot so they use this paste to cool the body.
