No one asked Lord not to create!

So many great devotees, great rishis, great brahmanas obtained a vision of Lord. they all said this world is dukhalayam ashasvatam but still no one requested him not to create again. so many other devotees demons pleased various demigods like Brahma Shiva but they too never asked for such benedictions.

  • Hare Krishna!

    Please Accept My Humble Obeisances.

The Lord has created everything in the material world and spiritual world for a divine purpose which, we are unable to envision owing to our myopic vision.

The key to understanding the purpose of the material world is that God, Krishna, has given us limited amount of independence. Although He sanctions all our actions, we are responsible for our own activities. This material world is created to give us, the conditioned living entities, who want to be happy independently from God, a place to dwell. Here in the material world our intelligence is covered by “maya,” illusion, and we are trying to become the lord and master of the world. Due to the influence of material nature our consciousness is contaminated. Thus, instead of surrendering to the Supreme Lord and serving Him we aspire to get others to surrender to us and serve us. We want to be God. We want to be the master. But actually we can not be God, we are constitutionally very insignificant ‘jivatmas’, minute parts and parcels of Krishna. God is not forcing us to think in a particular way. We have independence to think and act and if we choose to try and be happy separate from God there has to be somewhere for us to go.

An Analogy: When the Government plans to build and develop a new city, they always have an area reserved for constructing jails/ prison houses. Without such facilities we cannot expect Law and Order to be maintained in society. Similarly, the Lord has created this material world for entities who believe they are the CEO (Controller, Enjoyer, Owner). They forget that they are servants of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. There is no question of being separate from God in the Kingdom of God, the Spiritual World, so Krishna, God has created this material kingdom so we can become the King here.

But we cannot be happy separate from God. Our constitutional, natural position is to serve God. So even though there seem to be so many pleasurable things in the material world, none of them are truly satisfying. This is because we are spiritual by nature therefore no material pleasure can actually satisfy us. Transcendental pleasure is in the spiritual world. Krishna confirms in the Bhagavad Gita 8.16 that this world is a place of misery where repeated birth and death are going on:

    abrahma-bhuvanal lokah
    punar avartino ‘rjuna
    mam upetya tu kaunteya
    punar janma na vidyate

“From the highest planet in the material world down to the lowest, all are places of misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. But one who attains to My abode, O son of Kunti, never takes birth again”.

The suffering and pain of this world should serve as a reminder to us that this material world is a place full of miseries, it is not our home. Our home is in the spiritual world, the Kingdom of God. So a thoughtful person will see the sufferings of this world and ask the question: “Is there a way to end the suffering?” and such questions are the beginning of spiritual life and the beginning of actual human life. The Vedanta Sutra begins with athato brahma jijnasa, “In the human form of life one should question about spirit, brahman.”

To ensure we do not stay entangled in this repeated cycle of birth and death, we must always remember the following:

Complete Surrender: The pure devotees of the Lord completely surrender to the Lord’s plan. They never question Him. They are distinguished from others due to their following the six intrinsic principles of exclusive surrender to the Supreme Lord mentioned above by Bhaktivinode Thakura and which are also found in the Vaishnava-tantra as follows:

    anukulyasya-sankalpah, pratikulyasya-varjjanam
    raksisyatiti visvaso, goptrtve varanam tatha
    atma-niksepa-karpanye, sad-vidha saranagatih

"Acceptance of the favorable, rejection of the unfavorable, the faith that 'He will surely protect me,' embracing the Lord's guardianship, complete dependence on Him, and the perception of one's utter helplessness without Him, these six are the essential limbs of exclusive surrender unto the Lord." (Sri Sri Prapana-jivanamrtam 2.32)

Purpose of this Human Birth: The Lord has bestowed us with this very rare human form of life and it is a highly valuable instrument for making spiritual advancement. We should see this material world for what it is, a place of suffering where we cannot be happy, and utilise our time and energy here to reestablish our forgotten, dormant relationship with God, Krishna. That is the real purpose of life.

We are all destined to suffer a certain amount and enjoy a certain amount because of our karma [reactions to the actions we have performed in this and previous lives]. That karma is fixed and cannot be changed by any type of technological advancement. So the doctors and the scientists may eliminate one type of suffering but because we are destined to suffer due to our karma that suffering will manifest in a different way.

Never Over-Endeavour: So the Vedic way of life is “plain living and high thinking.” We should live simply, so we can provide our body with the necessary food to maintain it and use our time and energy to develop Krishna consciousness so at the time of death we will think of Krishna and go back home, back to Godhead, the Kingdom of God, the spiritual world. That is where we will experience eternal bliss. It is stated in Bhagavad-Gita As It Is 8.6:

    yam yam vapi smaran bhavam
    tyajaty ante kalevaram
    tam tam evaiti kaunteya
    sada tad-bhava-bhavitah

This means - whatever state of being one remembers when he quits his body, that state he will attain without fail.

The easiest way to make sure we remember Krishna at the time of death is to organize our life so we can remember Krishna all the time. And in this age, the process particularly recommended for that is chanting the Hare Krishna maha mantra:Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare.

Firm Faith and Trust: A devotee must have firm faith and trust in the plan of the Supreme Bring. Therefore, never ask Krishna for sense gratification, and never bargain with Krishna for something less than love of God. While we acknowledge that Krishna is far away from us, we also feel His closeness and our ability to address Him, just as a child will go to the father to have his desires fulfilled. On the higher stages of Krishna consciousness, devotees may very well express their own desires, but their desires are always for Krishna’s pleasure. Devotees also express a variety of moods, some submissive and some contrary. Krishna enjoys them all.

We can’t imitate those types of expressions, and if we try, we may end up asking for something not in our ultimate interest. Krishna, as the kind father, will provide the “toy.” In the end we may find ourselves telling Krishna we didn’t want what we received, and Krishna saying, “Well, you asked for it, so now you play with it until it breaks.”

The Gopis’ Example: Krishna is extremely pleased when He sees a pure devotee who cares only for Him. Srila Prabhupada was ecstatic to hear that the gopis, Krishna’s cowherd girlfriends, never asked Krishna for anything. Prabhupada offered their behavior as an example of real bhakti. Usually, in a conjugal relationship men and women want something from each other. Women usually want security, and even Krishna’s queens in Dwarka had that. But the gopis had nothing. They never asked for anything. They went to the forest in the middle of the night at the risk of losing their families and reputations, and Krishna did not provide them with any guarantee or indemnity. Therefore, they are considered the highest devotees; they wanted only to give Krishna happiness, to please Krishna.

Conclusion: We have been put into this material world because Krishna is extremely merciful. He is giving us an opportunity to utilise our intelligence and act in a manner that will burn away our sins which we have accumulated due to our past karmas.

    Your Servant,

    Mathura Vasi Devi Dasi.

  • Hare Krishna Prabhu,

Lord gives independence to the soul, without independence there is no meaning for love. So,it is by the desire of the souls who want to live independent of lord, the material world is created.Otherwise lord don't have any desire to create the material world.Just like government don't want to waste money and time in building jails for fun, they build jails because there are some criminals who go against government. If there no criminals then there is no need to build a jail.

So,it is not the desire of lord to create the world,So there is no point in asking lord to stop. It is our desire to enjoy independent of lord, the cause of creating this material world. So,the pure devotees of the lord knows this perfectly. So,they are preaching all the souls in this material world to stop desiring to enjoy this world and start desiring to serve the supreme lord which is the real constitutional position of soul.

one devotee called vasudev datta prayed to lord that he is ready to take all the sins of persons in this world and ready suffer. He asked lord to deliver everyone. Lord told " This world is just a mustard seed in the bag of mustard seeds and it is very difficult to deliver all of them.Unless they take up chanting the holy name of the lord." So,all the pure devotees are very much concerned about the deliverance of whole world.

Lord is so concerned about us so much so that he comes in different avatars and he sends his servants to bring back the souls to back home back to god head.

So,understanding this we should start preaching to everyone to chant Hare Krishna Mahamantra if we really concerned about people suffering in this dukhalayam.

    All glories to srila prabhupad.

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Have you ever seen a situation where a city is being planned, but a jail is not planned anywhere or someone is requesting that a jail neednt be prepared? This material world is described as a jail (durg) for conditioned souls who want to enjoy independent of the lord and the jailor is Durga.

The lord has created the material world out of His own free will. We are miniscule parts and parcels of the lord, we can serve the lord as per His wish, we cannot direct God to create or to not create. He knows best why He is doing something.

    I hope you understand.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Rashmi

    Hare Krsna

None of the great souls think they are capable of demanding the lord not to create. Lord is Svaraat supremely independent. Those who think they can be equal to god or greater than him end up in material world.

But they are capable of begging lord to deliver the souls from material world. Prahlad maharaj & Vasudeva r examples

Krsna consciousness means we aligning to lord's will. Wishing lord to align to our convenience is the kind of thinking that brings us to material world.
