Living near temple

Hello,I do not live near a temple and must practice my devotion alone. I was attempting to get a job that I wanted very much and had the possibility of letting me live near a temple but did not get it. Now I am looking at another job doing pretty much the same thing and even has some things that are better but I am worried that it won't be near a temple. I was really excited to be in a position to speak to devotees far more advanced than myself and progress in my devotion because I know I can do much better. It just gets hard doing everything alone sometimes and I am really confused as to why Krsna wishes it to be this way. I don't really have a question but any and all insight on my current situation is much appreciated.P.S. This is my last chance to get a job that is important to me and that I believe can help me grow in all the right ways. I am worried that Krsna will stop me from doing this also and that I will be miserable with a career that isn't meant for me.Thank you again,Hare Krsna

  • Hare Krishna. I am sorry to hear that you did not get the job near the Temple. It is very frustrating to want to be near a Temple but to be unable to get a job near the Temple. It is hard to practice devotion alone.I am very fortunate that I am able to speak to devotees who are far more advanced than myself. I knew a male devotee here in my area who had wanted to stay here in this area. Sadly, he told me that he had searched for jobs here for a long time but had been unable to find a job. He told me that he and his family were moving to a different state near  a different Temple to look for work. When I was living in another state many years ago, I found a nice Temple which had places of employment near by. I applied for the jobs, and did not even get an interview. I did not understand why I didn't get the job. I thought it would have been a  perfect situation for me. I finally accepted it as "God's will" and just went to different states that did have jobs available near the Temple.  I am praying that you too will be able to eventually find a job near a Temple.

    Hare KRsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

So nice to read that you want to stay near temple and are looking for job accordingly.

I also understand that its difficult to do your sadhana alone.

What I have understood so far is that obstacles in our path of devotion are merely to strengthen our resolve. Krsna simply sees the sincerity of heart. Esp if the sincerity is towards Him, the results will definitely be there, dont worry.

If this is the last chance for you, then please take up the job that is right for you. COntinue doing your sadhana, the congregation will come up around where you are.

Till such time you get to stay near a temple and practise your sadhana, you can be connected online, through this website, watch http://mayapur.tv; http://vrindavan.tv; countless lectures, temple openings, abhisheks on youtube.

You must read everyday - Bhagavad GIta As It Is and chant everyday. This has to be done as a life commitment - no compromise. The rest can be done as and when convenient.

Best of luck. I am sure Krsna has something planned for you - just be patient and wait for His plan to unfold. Pray that you are receptive to accept His plan and follow the path He has chosen for you.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD
