It is Unfair

Hare Krishna Dear Devotees,

I had a doubt.. One statement in Srimad Bhagavatham (5.26.3) says-

If one acts in the mode of ignorance because of madness, his resulting misery is the least severe. One who acts impiously but knows the distinction between pious and impious activities is placed in a hell of intermediate severity

This indirectly means to say "ignorance is bliss"... I feel it shouldnt be like that.. Suppose a person is ignorant of 4 regulative principles.. He goes on voilating it.. It also means he is not bothered to know what 4 regulative principles is.. Another person who knows it and trying to follow it, out of circumstantial lust, breaks it, then the latter person will be punished more severly.. This is unfair isnt it.. please help me to clarify..

true, as like i never knew about 4 at least one about vegetarianism. So i was living life of an animal because from childhood i was taught to live life like that.

And that is my own fault because of my bad karma i took birth in the place where people don't have knowledge of Bhagavad Gita.

But somehow mercy reached us and we read Bhagavad Gita. And understood what is bad and what is good. (again to some extent)

So if we have sincerity Krishna loves that. But if we know that we will have next life, that there is law of karma...but still commit sin than it is a cheating. We cheat Krishna. And He does not like that.

If one is weak of following 4 regulative principles then let one do not take initiation and be honest. But let one know that if there is no initiation and if one does not follow 4 regulative principles one won't achieve love for Krishna and go back to Godhead.

If one is ready to suffer for many more lives then one can continue his sinful life.

But if one is weak then there is way of getting strength SURRENDER. SHARANAGATI - when we take shelter of Krishna by loudly chanting His Holy Names and intensively engaging our senses with service to Him then we become strong and won't have time for lust.

We become weak because we keep idle our senses.

Krishna says 24 hours - always - so it is not an easy task. But what to do? Working hard as like Mother Yashoda tried very hard to tight Krishna with ropes even started to cry.

    Your servant,

    hari Bol!
    Jai Acharyas!

Its similar to seventh offense. When one chants namabhasa or suddha nama, all sinful activities are destroyed. But if we commit sin even after knowing that they are sins, they become offenses which can never be removed by atonement. It can be removed only by offenseless chanting.

  • Whom do you punish more ?

A animal who crossed the Red-Light or an intelligent human !!
