I feel terribly sad when i see the cruelty exhibited by terrorist groups around the world. ISIS beheading people, Taliban killing school children in Pakistan... Feel terrible agony.. How can a human being do these things...?? A tiger or a lion is simply driven by nature and kills other animals.. But a human being has all the intelligence, rational thinking, feelings, emotions.. still why are people getting brainwashed in the name of Islam and kill people.. I strongly believe that Islam itself never would have taught any such things. But why is so much brainwashing going on and currently the biggest threat to the world looks like these terrorists.. i dont know what will be the state after 100 years... will the people be able to follow Krishna Consciousness? will Hare Krishna sustain then?

even those who think for themselfs that they are learned ones, are often brainwashed.
anyway, serious vaishnavas should never be involved in reading or watching such propaganda,
seeing in everyone the most dear lord, giving respect without discrimination.

Human being have been given the higher intelligence with the help of which they can avoid succumbing to the lower propensities of animals. But they have a choice whether to utilize this higher intelligence with which they can avoid being controlled by the lower natures of material world. When a human being chooses not to utilize this higher intelligence in appropriate manner, then it is hard to differentiate the nature of humans acting as animals and nature of animals acting as animals.
How can a human being do these things...? - Human can do this if human wants to do this.
I strongly believe that religion itself never would have taught any such things - The religion as propagated by the beginner of the religion who originally presented the teachings do not have motivation of harming anyone. The particular religion need not be seen as responsible for actions of individuals/or groups who keep their own personal secret agendas under the blanket of religion. They may show the blanket to the world, the blanket under which are their motivation. The world sees the blankets. The world sees action arising out of blanket. But going deep one can see that actions arise from motivations within the blanket.
Everyone has these motivations.....but they want motivations to be hidden. So they cover up, with religion, falsehood, with fake laughter shows, with make up, with advertisements, with sports, with news, with movies, with social media, with plastic, with court cases, with saintly dress, with nice talks, with technologies, with social issues, with legal issues, with political issues, with gender issues, anything and everything that is seen with material vision can be a covering. It needs a deeper understanding to see through these coverings or one need not see these coverings and can chose to see only the supreme absolute truth.
So it can be misleading to see the blanket of religion or individual or the group.
But why is so much brainwashing going on : Someone may want to do brainwashing. Someone else may want brainwashing to be done to them.
Currently the biggest threat to the world looks like these terrorists : Srila Prabhupad when he first met his spiritual master Srila Bhaktisiddhanta saraswati Thakur in 1922 presented an argument that currently we indians are under foreign rule, so many atrocities seem to be done by foreign ruler, it is first most important to free indians from these rulers, then one can easily think of Krsna consciousness.
Srila Prabhupad mentions that he was happy to be defeated by the arguments of his spiritual master that rulers, govts, kingdoms, whole material world keeps on changing. Krsna consciousness is beyond all these things, Krsna consciousness can go on and it is the solution to all the problems of the world. Having heard this Srila prabhupad felt contented that Lord Chaitanya's mission is in safe hands of his spiritual master.
Further Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati thakur said - The only problem in the outside world is lack of Krsna consciousness. The only problem inside of everyone is the lack of Krsna consciousness within. If someone is fully Krsna conscious, even if the whole world is completely against, Prahlad Maharaj proved that Krsna consciousness within can protect from the greatest forces of the entire world.
Biggest threat currently, in the past and in future is lack of Krsna consciousness
i dont know what will be the state after 100 years - Very true. Scriptures say that factually there can be turmoil in the material world at every instance, if one is able to perceive one can perceive. We do not know the state after 100 years or 10 years or 1 year or 1 month or one week or one day or one hour. Srimad Bhagavatam says
samaaShritaa ye pada-pallava-plavam
mahat-padam punya-yaSho muraarem
bhavaambudhir vatsa-padam param padam
padam padam yad vipadaam na teshaam
For those who have accepted the boat of the lotus feet of the Lord, who is the shelter of the cosmic manifestation and is famous as Muraari, the enemy of the Mura demon, the ocean of the material world is like the water contained in a calf's hoof-print. Their goal is param padam, Vaikuntha, the place where there are no material miseries, not the place where there is danger at every step.
So individually it is best to take shelter of Krsna consciousness, more and more.
I feel terribly sad, Feel terrible agony - To feel pain when one comes to know that someone else is in pain is natural. This is basic human nature. And one naturally gets an urge to want to reduce it. What is divine is to understand that the pain stems from lack of Krsna consciousness.
In order to reduce that pain one may divinely be inclined within to increase/enhance/ improve Krsna consciousness. This can be easily done by chanting of Hare Krsna. Chanting of Hare Krsna by one person without fail, without offences, can give unimaginable benefits to unimaginable number of living entities, including oneself.
will the people be able to follow Krishna Consciousness? will Hare Krishna sustain then? - This is a highly valid concern, which any great vaishnava would have. Having understood that it is only chanting of the Hare Krsna that is fully capable of solving all of one's problems, will the chanting sustain ?
If one wants Krsna consciousness or chanting of Hare Krsna to sustain within, then it will sustain within, and that Krsna consciousness or Hare Krsna can sustain that person from within and from outside. Similarly for the world outside.
