How to Practice Krishna Consciousness ?

HK, pamho,
Mucukunda Rishi and Krishna pastime tells us how Mucukunda Rishi was blessed by demigods after helping demigods in war against demons and burnt off to ashes the rascal demon Kalayavana.
  • VISION - What is purified vision in Krishna Consciousness considering as well as not considering philosophy ?
  • INTROSPECTION - What do my good and divine experiences in Krishna Consciousness tell me to do for Krishna ?  Can I keep it as a reminder to do service always ?
  • SERVICE - How to serve Krishna favorably and always ?  What is service to Krishna ?
  • HOW ? - As per a purport meaning (I cannot remember the verse at present), a devotee should always talk, act and behave favorably for Krishna's service.  How considering the constraints and conditions of time, place, circumstances can there be a training of mind on these 3 parameters always ?
  1. Talk for Krishna.
  2. Act for Krishna.
  3. Behave in a way favorable for Krishna.

    PAMHO.

    To answer your 3 questions first:

    1) Talk for Krsna - spreading the message of Krsna Consciousness is talking for Krsna. As you know, Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is non different from Krsna. Therefore, spreading His message of Krsna Consciousness to the world is talking for Krsna.

    2) Act for Krsna - leading a Krsna Conscious life is acting for Krsna, isnt it?

    3) Behave in a way favourable to Krsna - If we always remember Krsna and never forget Him, we are behaving in a way favourable to Krsna.

    We are in disciplic succession prabhuji. Therefore, we follow our acharyas who are realised souls and who have understood the art of surrendering to Krsna and are therefore realised souls. The Supreme Lord is also pleased when we please His devotees. Therefore, we try to serve Krsna by following His followers in words and deeds, by following the instructions given by His followers, reading scriptures under guidance and chanting 16 rounds of maha mantra daily.

    I think I have answered your top 3 questions also by this para above.

    SB 11.29.8 — The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Yes, I shall describe to you the principles of devotion to Me, by executing which a mortal human being will conquer unconquerable death.
    SB 11.29.9 — Always remembering Me, one should perform all his duties for Me without becoming impetuous. With mind and intelligence offered to Me, one should fix his mind in attraction to My devotional service.
    SB 11.29.10 — One should take shelter of holy places where My saintly devotees reside, and one should be guided by the exemplary activities of My devotees, who appear among the demigods, demons and human beings.
    SB 11.29.11 — Either alone or in public gatherings, with singing, dancing and other exhibitions of royal opulence, one should arrange to celebrate those holy days, ceremonies and festivals set aside specially for My worship.
    SB 11.29.12 — With a pure heart one should see Me, the Supreme Soul within all beings and also within oneself, to be both unblemished by anything material and also present everywhere, both externally and internally, just like the omnipresent sky.
    SB 11.29.13-14 — O brilliant Uddhava, one who thus views all living entities with the idea that I am present within each of them, and who by taking shelter of this divine knowledge offers due respect to everyone, is considered actually wise. Such a man sees equally the brāhmaṇa and the outcaste, the thief and the charitable promoter of brahminical culture, the sun and the tiny sparks of fire, the gentle and the cruel.
    SB 11.29.15 — For him who constantly meditates upon My presence within all persons, the bad tendencies of rivalry, envy and abusiveness, along with false ego, are very quickly destroyed.
    SB 11.29.16 — Disregarding the ridicule of one’s companions, one should give up the bodily conception and its accompanying embarrassment. One should offer obeisances before all — even the dogs, outcastes, cows and asses — falling flat upon the ground like a rod.

    What is purified vision in Krishna Consciousness ?

    To see every entity in relation to Krsna. 

    Example : A woman is seen by different persons differently. A baby may see as a mother, a lusty person sees as object of enjoyment, a tiger will see it as food, a brahmavadi will see as soul, a fully KC devotee will see as a gopi who serves Krsna. 

     What do my good and divine experiences in Krishna Consciousness tell me to do for Krishna ?  Can I keep it as a reminder to do service always ?

    They should inspire us to serve Krsna more and with deeper commitment. 

    How to serve Krishna favorably 

    Krsna doesn't restrict the way in which we can serve Him. Many many devotees have served Him in variety of ways - Jatayu, Gajendra, Narada muni, Dhruva . But regulated devotional service can be performed in 9 ways.

    Hearing and chanting about the transcendental holy name, form, qualities, paraphernalia and pastimes of Lord Krsna, remembering them, serving the lotus feet of the Lord, offering the Lord respectful worship with sixteen types of paraphernalia, offering prayers to the Lord, becoming His servant, considering the Lord one's best friend, and surrendering everything unto Him (in other words, serving Him with the body, mind and words)—these nine processes are accepted as pure devotional service.

      How to serve Krishna always ? 

      By doing the above 9 activities always. 

      What is service to Krishna ?

      Any act, thought, word that pleases Krsna (makes Krsna happy) is service to Krsna. Krsna consciousness business means to make Krsna more and more happy. Krsna should enjoy and keep enjoying always. Pleasing Krsna's devotees gives Him greatest pleasure. So that would be best way to serve Krsna. 

      How to Talk for Krishna ?

      By preaching message of Krsna, Srimad Bhagavatam and discussing it with devotees. This is called Kirtanam. Example - Shukadeva Goswami.

        How to Act for Krishna ?

        Srila Prabhupada has wonderfully answered in the purport to BG 11.55. Please read it fully. Some excerpts are below. 

        As far as work is concerned, one should transfer his energy entirely to KC activities. One may be engaged in various activities, but one should not be attached to the result of his work; the result should be done only for Him.

        For example, one may be engaged in business, but to transform that activity into KC, one has to do business for Krsna. If Krsna is the proprietor of the business, then Krsna should enjoy the profit of the business. If a businessman is in possession of thousands and thousands of dollars, and if he has to offer all this to Krsna, he can do it. This is work for Krsna.

        Instead of constructing a big building for his sense gratification, he can construct a nice temple for Krsna, and he can install the Deity of Krsna and arrange for the Deity's service, as is outlined in the authorized books of devotional service. This is all krsna-karma.

        If, however, one is not able to construct a temple for Krsna, one can engage himself in cleansing the temple of Krsna; that is also krsna-karma.

        How to behave in a way favorable for Krishna ?

        There can be one simple answer to all these questions. Just observe the life of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu - He has specifically descended just to show us how we can be Krsna conscious more and more.
