    Hare Krsna

How do i treat this devotee knowing they will again try to take advantage of me/others?

This is a very practical problem and can be serious one. In addition to what HG RR Mataji has said, if possible avoid direct interactions with that devotee. This will ensure that they do not take advantage of you. You have to protect yourself.

If that devotee starts any interaction politely make excuse to refrain interaction. But at the same time do not disrespect them. If you have to necessarily have interactions then use another common friend devotee as mediator or if directly interacting stay focused on the issue at hand and avoid all personal remarks. Minimise intercations

Regarding they taking advantage of others, at this stage better not to take responsibility of others. Better focus on one's own practice. Krsna will take care of His devotees well, Krsna always protects His devotees. We may not be able to see it immediately.

how do i calm my mind?

There is a possibility that we are not 100% correct about our own thinking about this devotee. Give the benefit of doubt to them. Even if we are 100% correct, because they are chanting Krsna will remove the deficiences. Meanwhile we need to tolerate the deficiences of others just as they tolerate our deficiences. But also need to protect ourselves.

how do i forgive this devotee?

This is for very advanced devotees. Our stage we need to try our best to tolerate.

If we sincerely pray to Krsna, Krsna will guide us, Remember that Krsna is in our Heart and in their heart. Krsna will facilitate improvement of all our relationships provided we are willing to tolerate and work on our deficiences

    All the best !

    Hare Krsna Mataji,

    PAMHO.

I completely understand what you are saying. It is a fact that getting along with devotees also can be a challenge.

The way I have learnt to reconcile to these situations is - I have to become a devotee in the eyes of Krsna, not in the eyes of any one person. Therefore, I have to be careful of my sadhana and my dealings - not be concerned about other people's behaviour. Having said that, I have full rights to protect myself against someone who attacks me or blasphemes me.

Desist from criticising this person, take positive steps. If you are not able to take this nonsense, maybe you should approach a senior - your temple management and humbly put your petition that this person is doing these things. You will be surprised to know that you are not the first person, others have already noticed such traits of this person.

My guess is that nothing will happen. Everything will continue as it is. You will gradually grow out of noticing this person and concentrating on your own sadhana.

    Haribol,

    your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD
