    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

    The mahamantra is

Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

THis has to be said on one bead. Like this, we have repeat on all 108 beads. THis constitutes one mala.  The top most bead - from whihc some threads will be coming out - that is called the KRsna bead. One should not cross that bead while chanting. On that Krsna bead, we should chant

Jai Shri Krsna Chaitanya Prabhu Nityanand

Shri Advaita Gadadhar Srivasadi Gaur Bhakta Vrinda

Then the mahamantra on the 108 beads. When we come back to Krsna bead, repeat this panch tattva mantra mentioned above and turn the beads to start with the last bead (on which you chanted) first and continue your next round.

Ideally, one should start by chanting 4 malas like this - it will take approx 30 min of your time. THis has to be done daily without fail. The day we dont eat AND the day we dont sleep is the day we dont chant.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD

  • Yes chanting amung others is ecstatic & the gyrations are more intense however, Jahppa w/Tulasi is most effective in my opioun!
Simply because of the added equilibrium aspect which is more condusive to developing individual relationships. Which is really the root aim of all Bhaktee practiced.
Formost of purifiers congregational Sankiertanna might be 1st. But for developing a direct personalized relationship I choose Jahppa! Sit straight, chant coherently & listen attentively turning the beads clockwise (only) this is to me the most repplacatable and intimate process. Attraction is accomplished best by consistency & that means a daily practice?

For Chanting Mahamantra, there is no hard and first rule. However, if you chant congregationally--along with other devotees--is more effective. Also, chant with good concentration on hearing what you utter on each word of Mahamantra. If you can follow these principles, you can achieve all perfections (siddhi) without any doubt.
