Is marriage only permissible to have children or a couple can also marry to help in helping in housechores and to live a God conscious life. I mean to run a house n to have company in old age specially in my case as im the only child of my parent with no sister or any brother.

The ideal reason to marry is to help each other progress spiritually, no other reason. Anyways, household chores can be shared, without it being the sole purpose of getting together.
