Hare Krsna. as you all know Dhruv maharaj lamented that he foolishly worshipped krsna for material prosperity but my question is couldnt he make an attempt 2nd time to please Krsna or is it that once Krsna appears before you THATS IT no second chance, no second vision of Krsna! whatever you desired thats your full and final permanent destination. if so why? thanks

god appears every time he wants, because he is independent.

PAMHO.
Krsna appears once or every second, depending on our devotion. Krsna appeared so many times to help pandavas and Draupadi. There are no rules related to Supreme Lord - he will not tick mark - OK, I appeared once for this devotee, no more.
THe point to eb understood here is that - since Dhruva maharaj prayed to Krsna with a material desire, though the lord fulfilled his desire, He also took away the desire and gave him pure devotional service. His lamentation itself is his devotional service. Simply praying to God and making Him appear in front of us is not pure devotional service, realising how fallen we are and how the lord is so merciful to not only fulfill our desires, but to also make us get over the desire completely is the quality of the lord.
This is also the difference between praying to the lord (even with material desires in our heart) and praying to a demigod. Have you come across any instance mentioned in the scriptures that someone has prayed to a demigod and gor a benediction, then he starts thinking, why did I have such a desire at all? I am so fallen!!!

Such a person desires Me alone.

devotees like sri dhruva dont desire anything but lord.
if you approach lord because some materialistic wish, that can lead you to become pure devotee like sri dhruva, rejecting all materialistic wishes .
devotion for lord burns all such ilusionary wishes to dust.
