TRANSLATION

Devakī helplessly, piteously appealed to Kaḿsa: My dear brother, all good fortune unto you. Don't kill this girl. She will be your daughter-in-law. Indeed, it is unworthy of you to kill a woman.

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Krsna and Arjuna were cousin brothers, Kunti and Vasudev were siblings. Therefore, Subhadra was also cousin sister for Arjuna, but you know they married. Rukmini's brother Rukmi's daughter was married to Krsna's son, Samba. There are lot of such instances in the scriptures.

Pls read Krsna book. You will find a lot of references.

Even today, in South India, the first choice of alliance is within the family. The girl is given off to her mama. Even if she is engaged to someone else, she calls him mama, the way we say mangetar.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Rashmi
