    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

What I know is - grihastas are supposed to support the temple and not vice versa. For brahmacari devotees staying in the temple itself, they are not paid in most cases. For unmarried devotees staying outside and rendering fulltime service to the temple, even if they are paid, it is a meagre amount.

Your decision to join the temple full time should be a factor of total surrender to Krsna, whether you plan to marry (if not already married) and whether you have a mentor in the temple you plan to join, to guide you personally. If you plan to marry, my suggestion is, you should have your own source of income. Think about it - would you donate to a temple, knowing your donation could be going towards a devotee's household expenses?

    Haribol,

    YOur servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD
